STP becomes a Professional Affiliate of Engineering Council

We are pleased to inform you that after three years of hard work, the Association of Polish Engineers in Great Britain obtained a status of Professional Affiliate at the Engineering Council. We are currently a member of elite club of 23 organizations associated with the Engineering Council. STP is the only organization associating a national minority in this club! We are extremely happy with the growing prestige and recognition of our activity.

The Engineering Council is an institution that regulates chartered, incorporated engineer, engineering technician in the United Kingdom and maintains a register of engineers licensed in the United Kingdom. Currently, approximately 230,000 engineers are registered with the Engineering Council. The Engineering Council is the equivalent of Polish professional self-governments, which confer professional qualifications in Poland and keep a register of persons with professional qualifications, e.g. the Chamber of Architects of the Republic of Poland or the Polish Chamber of Civil Engineers.

Obtaining the Professional Affiliate status was associated with a number of formal, legal and organizational changes. We have created, a new, modern statute and changed the legal form of the association to CIO (Charitable Incorporated Organization). The association is now formally registered with the Charity Commission under number 1181306.

At the same time, we’ve updated our logo and thoroughly changed our information management system, which is currently based on Microsoft Teams. A number of new procedures and guides have been created documenting and describing the principles of our business. We hope that thanks to the changes that have enabled us to become affilate with the Engineering Council, STP will continue to grow dynamically and will encourage new people to join our ranks.
