The Association of Polish Engineers in Great Britain provides for different membership categories available depending on your education and professional experience of the applying individual. Obtaining the status of a Member of the Association confirms having appropriate competences and qualifications, thus constituting a certificate of professional status. Depending on your category, we have specific rights and privileges. The following list describes the various categories and requirements that must be met during application:
Membership category intended for engineers, scientists and technicians with higher technical education and / or properly documented professional experience. This is the basic category of STP membership, which involves having full rights in the Association.
- Technical university degree, or
- University degree with minimum 3 years of professional engineering experience, or
- minimum 6 years of professional engineering experience, or
- Chartered Engineer (CEng), Incorporated Engineer (IEng) certificate or an equivalent British qualification
Associate Member, AssocMSTP
Membership grade intended for individuals without higher engineering education however with sufficient professional engineering experience. Associate members have most of the membership rights, except voting rights at the GM. An associate member can be promoted to a full member by the board of Trustees in recognition of individual contribution to the objectives of the Association.
- Student status at technical university, or
- University degree, or
- Minimum 3 years of professional engineering experience, or
- Engineering Technichian (EngTech) certificate or an equivalent British qualification
Affiliate Member, AffilMSTP
Membership grade open to anyone interested in science and technology. Affiliate members can use from some of the membership benefits (e.g. participation in the mentoring programme) but do not have voting rights and are not eligible for membership discounts nor Benevolent Fund support.
Corporate Member, CorpMSTP
Membership grade fro companies and organisations which want to formally join the Association. Corporate membership gives full rights of the individual membership and also allows the company to be listen on the website as a corporate member.

Honorary Member, HonMSTP
This membership grade is awarded to individuals and organisations with exceptional professional achievements and contribution to the Association. Honorary membership requires recommendation from the Board of Trustees or a group od 10 members and is awarded by the General Meeting.
